Everyone signs a quick waiver before playing. Forward your confirmation email to your group. Players under 18 need a parent or guardian to sign.

Good to know
Is the escape room scary?
No jump scares! It's a puzzle-solving mystery set in a 1920s hat shop, great for families.
Can kids play?
Yes! All ages are welcome with a parent, and players 15 and up can play on their own. Everyone under 18 needs a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
We've never done an escape room. Will we be OK?
Absolutely. The door is never actually locked (although it is shut and it sounds like it is being locked). You solve puzzles and eventually find a key that fits the lock. While it is not how to win the game, you may leave the room at any time if you need.
Can we just walk in?
Yes, if the room isn't already booked. Reserving online guarantees your spot. Call or text 612-454-0860 to check.
What if we need to change our booking?
We don't offer cancellations, but you're welcome to reschedule.
Do co-working members get a discount?
Yes! Members get 50% off the escape room and lounge.
Is the story real?
Partly! In 1898, sisters Anna Lahodney and Mary Janecek opened a millinery (hat) shop on this very spot, and it ran for 80 years. The kidnapping and the deed scheme are made up, but Anna, Mary, and their shop were real. Read our location history →
Are there stairs?
Yes. Our historic building has one step at the front door and 7 stairs down to the B-Side, and this is currently the only access. Questions or specific needs? Email us.
